Empowering creativity, connection, and self-expression through art.

Empowering Mental Wellness Through Creativity
A space to connect with your natural creativity, share your story, and embrace mental wellness.
About The Green Phoenix
The Green Phoenix, LLC was created to focus on mental wellness, not just mental illness. Our mission is to help individuals understand that mental and physical health are deeply connected. Through creative expression, storytelling, and lived experience, we provide a space to explore personal growth, build connections, and embrace mental wellness.
Programs like Unleash Your Inner Artist guide participants to explore creativity and discover how art can communicate thoughts and emotions that are difficult to put into words. Our Community Exchange offers opportunities to connect with others, share experiences, and engage in meaningful dialogue around mental health. For insight into personal stories and the journey of recovery through art, check out Ashes to Expression, which showcases published works by our founder, Heather Croas.

Our Founder
Heather Croas is a mental health advocate, public speaker, and founder of The Green Phoenix, a Kennesaw-based small business launched in September 2024 that blends mental health education with the transformative power of art. She works across a variety of artistic mediums, using creativity as a tool for communication, personal growth, and empowerment.
Heather didn’t always recognize the role art played in her life. It was only later that she realized it had always been her way of expressing and processing emotions. Today, she teaches art at a small private school and offers classes to the broader community, including programs like Unleash Your Inner Artist, helping others explore creativity as a pathway to mental wellness.
Her lived experience with mental health fuels her mission to support others in their recovery journeys. Through storytelling, creative expression, and practical strategies, Heather empowers individuals to find hope, strength, and understanding.
In March 2016, Heather joined Toastmasters to overcome her fear of public speaking. Just two years later, she earned the organization’s highest distinction, Distinguished Toastmaster. Now, she shares her story and her art with audiences across North Georgia, illuminating the often-unseen realities of mental health and recovery.
